The weeks are numbered before the big Turner's Christmas at the Coliseum in November!
Seven weeks - today!
Considering many of my supplies come from China or Hong Kong and sometimes take up to 4-6 weeks to be delivered, I felt a huge push this past week to get everything ordered...and I did.
It's so hard to guess how much stock I will need for this show...so I'm totally 'ball-parking' the number.
Especially considering, Nov 26-28 is this craft show and the following weekend is the craft show in Grand Falls, so I won't have time to make much jewelry the week in between the 2 shows. In some ways (when I look at ALL the money I've spent on supplies) - I am FREAKING out completely. Yet, in other ways I know it will work out!
Every few days, I am creating, creating, creating. In fact, I've narrowed down all the designs I will take with me and how many of each. But it just hit me yesterday, I wasn't factoring in preparing all of my bags for purchases with labels, or preparing the jewelry tags for each necklace, or preparing the extra jewelry displays....sheesh.
OK...so today, I am completely freaking out!!!
Tomorrow, is the regular farmer's market here in Grand Falls which will be finished in a few weeks (leaving me all of November with no Saturday mornings at the market). This should help!
So that's what is new around here...hope all is well with you.

This is my blog.
I originally created this blog to document my journey of taking my first missions trip to Haiti in Dec 2010. Unfortunately, due to the destruction from the earthquake my trip was cancelled.
This is my SECOND mission trip that was cancelled or did not happen. I felt lost for sometime, but I have found my direction again.
My new mission is my family. ONE day I will go across the world to do mission work. ONE day I will go on a mission trip that is not cancelled. For now, I will do my mission work FROM home, raising money through selling jewelry, while raising my family.
Money raised goes towards buying rice in Haiti, some will go to Kenya (for a limited time, until the beads are gone) to help single women provide an income for themselves and my new project is to help an orphaned child find a forever family .
Through this blog, I hope I can INSPIRE you - the way so many have inspired me. Check back often, there are sure to be lots of changes considering I am a 'work in progress'. I have agreed to dangerously surrendering to God's calling.

Mar 15, 2010 - cried in doctors office over a 6 day old baby
Mar 16, 2010 - began talking about adopting again
Jun 2010 - praying about it more seriously
Jul 9, 2010 - called agency, freaked out over cost, Angel calmed me down and helped me come up with a plan
Jul 9 - Aug 19, 2010 - vacation/phone tag with agency about quesitons
Aug 21, 2010 - Got answers
Aug 22, 2010 - Wrote 1st cheque and mailed application
Oct 15, 2010 - got pkg from TDH with forms to fill out (TDH Contract, Vietnam application forms & Medical Form) with a list of things we'll need (4 sample photos, marriage certificate, copies of passports & employment letter). SO excited!
Nov 10, 2010 - decided on Adoption Practitioner but found out we can not do our home study update until we officially live in Ontario
Next step - 3 months prior to move date, contact Adoption Practitioner to start paper collection for home study update.
